This years results reflect students' hard work, ambition, and the dedicated support received from staff and the wider Trust community.

Chaucer

Students achieved stronger grades across their best eight subjects compared with last year, continuing a positive trend of more pupils passing more subjects in recent years.

The results highlight the impact of the school’s continued focus on raising standards and supporting every young person to achieve their potential. Many subject areas saw notable gains, particularly in creative and vocational courses such as French, Art, BTEC Sport, Health and Social Care and Photography, where results improved by more than 20% on the previous year. Further progress was also achieved in Geography, History, Business, IT and Catering with improvements of more than 10%.

The achievements also reflect the commitment of Chaucer’s dedicated staff and the strong partnership with families and the wider community, all of whom have played a part in helping students reach their goals.

Joanna Crewe, Headteacher at Chaucer School, said:

“We’re really pleased to see yet another set of improved results for our students. Chaucer students in Year 11 this year improved their attendance, their behaviour, and we knew that improved results would be their reward. I’m proud of how many more students can now go on to their chosen post-16 destinations with successes under their belt.

“Thank you to the students for their hard work and commitment, and to their families for supporting us to support them. All staff are proud of how far Year 11 have come, and how much of a difference our work with them has made.”

Bradfield

Over 75% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and mathematics, while the proportion of top grades at 7 and above rose by 16% compared with last year.

These results are the product of students’ dedication, strengthened by the unwavering support of staff and the wider Bradfield community. The school has seen progress across a wide range of subjects, with both core and option areas showing strong improvements

The results are the latest milestone in Bradfield’s ongoing journey of improvement, coming just months after the school was awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted. Together, these achievements demonstrate the impact of a renewed focus on high expectations, effective teaching and a supportive learning environment.

As well as celebrating their results, many Year 11 students are now preparing to take the next step in their education, with a large number choosing to continue their studies in post-16 education locally. The school is proud that its students can now move forward with the qualifications and confidence they need to pursue their chosen pathways.

Dale Barrowclough, Executive Headteacher at Bradfield School, said:

“I am absolutely delighted for our students, staff and wider community. These results completely validate our very recent “Good” judgement and reflects our incredible journey over the last 12 months. I want to thank all staff and our wider community for the way they have gone over and above to support our fantastic students.”

Forge Valley

This year, over 55% of students achieved grade 5 and above in both English and mathematics, significantly above both national and local averages. Forge Valley also saw particular success in mathematics, where almost 30% of students were awarded a grade 7 or higher.

The school is proud that many of its Year 11 students will continue their post-16 study at Forge Valley Sixth Form, building on the solid foundations of their GCSE success.

Dale Barrowclough, Executive Headteacher at Forge Valley School said:

"Students at Forge Valley School should be extremely proud of their achievements, which are a testament to their hard work and determination. We are thrilled that so many will continue their educational journey with us in Forge Valley Sixth Form.

“As a school committed to making a real difference, we extend our sincere thanks to all our staff whose dedication has made this success possible."

Tapton

Tapton is proud to report another year of strong outcomes which reflect students’ determination, ambition and the support of their teachers and families.

Across the board, Tapton students achieved impressive results, with 84% securing at least a grade 4 in English and mathematics, while 40% of all grades awarded were grades 9-7. The school’s overall average grade was an impressive 5.75, underlining Tapton’s commitment to excellence across all subjects.

While every student’s achievements are worthy of celebration, some stand-out individual performances also deserve recognition. Students Dharshini, Claire, Keira and Jiuge each achieved a full suite of grade 9s – a reflection of their talent and dedication.

Kat Rhodes, Headteacher at Tapton, said:

“We are really proud of the achievements of all our Year 11s. They are going on to a range of destinations and we wish them all the best. This year group joined us in September 2020, at the height of the COVID pandemic. Their resilience and fortitude throughout their time at Tapton deserve a great deal of praise.

“Thank you to all students for their hard work and to the staff and families that have supported them to achieve excellence.”
